     Vada Pav is believed to have originated in the city of Mumbai in the 1960s. It was created as an affordable snack for the working-class population of Mumbai city.
Vada pav is a popular street food in the Indian state of Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai. Vada is prepared by mashing boiled potatoes and mixing it with green chillies, ginger, garlic, turmeric and various spices. They are then dipped in gram flour and deep fried until golden and crispy. which is served inside a small pava. The pava is served with chutney and sometimes fried green chillies and garlic chutney on the side. Vada pav is known for its affordable price and delicious taste, which made it popular locally.  
Vada pav is not just a snack; It has cultural significance in Mumbai and is often referred to as the city's "poor man's burger" or "people's food".
Vada Pav

 Ingredients:
  • Boil potatoes
  • Gram flour
  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds
  • Salt 
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garlic-green chilies paste.
  • Green coriander 

      Green chutney ingredients, red chutney ingredients. Boil the potatoes and mash them. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add mustard. When mustard crackles, add curry leaves and garlic-green chillies and coriander paste. Add salt, turmeric powder and boiled potatoes and mix well. Make lemon sized balls of the prepared mixture. In a bowl, add 2 bowls of gram flour, 2 spoons of rice flour, salt and turmeric powder. Add 2 cups of water and prepare the mixture. Dip the potato balls in the batter and leave them in the oil. Fry till it turn golden brown.
