Butter Chakli

  Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of rice flour
  • 1/2 cup of semolina
  • 2 and a half cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of white or black sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon of asafetida powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder
  • salt
  • oil.

Butter Chakli



First heat two and a half bowls of water in a pot. After boiling water, add salt, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, black pepper powder, asafetida powder and 2 tbsp butter and stir well. Reduce heat and add semolina and rice flour and mix well. Turn off the heat and keep the mixture covered for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, take out the dough in a big plate and knead it. Now apply some water inside the Chakali Mould, fill it with flour and make Chakali in a plate. Heat the oil by placing a pan on the gas. Once the oil is hot, fry the Chakali on medium to high flame. Crispy butter chakli are ready.
