Steamed Modak
Ingredients:
- 1 cup grated wet coconut.
- 1 cup grated jaggery
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- salt
For the stuffing add coconut and jaggery in a pot and cook it. When the mixture thickens a little, add cardamom powder and switch off the flame. Let the Modak stuffing to cool. Now heat 1 bowl of water in a pot. When the water is hot, add 1 tsp ghee and 1/2 tsp salt. Now add 1 cup of rice flour and mix well. And keep it covered for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, knead the dough until soft. Now take lemon-shaped dough and roll it round. Form a Modak by joining all the edges in this way keeping the stuffing in between. Prepare all Modak in this way. Steam the prepared Modak for 15 minutes. Steamed Modak is ready!
